Abstract


Corporate   social   responsibilty   has   been   deemed   as   the   epitome   of   corporation’s responsibility  towards  its  society.  In  the  realm  of  public  relations,  the  practitioners performed the duty of creating and implementing CSR initiative. As an exercise for PR skills, the  students  of  communication  science  Petra  Christian  University  in  cooperation  with Habitat for Humanity, created CSR initiative. The location was Tegalsari District, Surabaya. They targeted the settlers there, especially school children, youth and the housewives of the neighborhood. The theme of the programs were health, clean environment, internet-based technology, and neighborhood identity. The programs spanned for 6 weeks, in which time the university students mingled with the people of the kampung and performed their each programs to different target.
